Originally composed for the 2004 International Tuba/Euphonium Conference Tuba Competition (held in Budapest, Hungary), this 4-movement work is one of Mike Forbes more challenging compositions. It is also the opening track on Sotto Voce's album, "Take This Hammer." There is a brass quintet version also available as performed frequently by the Spanish Brass.
