One of François Couperin's most beloved works, his "Les baricades misterieuses" is a wonderful adaptation from stringed instrument (lute, guitar, etc.) to the tuba quartet. In fact, the piece originally had 4 distinct voices and was nicely scored in B-flat all in bass clef! It this was just too irresistible to pass up the opportunity to score for tuba quartet and see if four players can work together as one!
